TOLEDO, OHIO- July 9, 2014

The Ohio Natural Hair, Health and Beauty Expo is now in its 4th year in Northwest Ohio. It will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 11:00am-6:00pm at the New Life Center in Toledo located at 1430 W. Bancroft St.. With hundreds of attendees, the Expo offers the local community an opportunity to learn about the unique care methods, beauty practices and health concerns that are specific to minorities. Founded in 2011, the expo features a large African American vendor marketplace in Northwest Ohio as well as free beauty, health & wellness classes; a separate kids activity room and local, live entertainment.

This year, in kind donations of toiletries will be collected for The Bethany House, a local transitional home for victims of Domestic Violence. As a survivor, Megan Davis wishes to offer support and help raise awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Megan Davis, Founder of the Expo, says “I am happy to report that upgrades to the expo include a ‘Curly Conversations’ meetup area as well as entry photos. Previously, the kids’ activities were included in the main hall, but I felt that having a separate room would offer a different and more exclusive experience for children and their parents.”

The primary sponsor of the expo is The Kitchen Salon, Davis’ mobile natural hair education, events and products company which provides year-round classes within the community.

Early Bird pricing is available now through August 1, 2014 for vendors and admission. To learn about participation and to register, please visit
